The Founding 100 — Lifetime Core membership for the first 100 eligible artists.See the invitation →

One platform. Several paths to value.

Artists use Artāwhai—and can earn when their work travels.

Membership pays for practical artist services. Display subscriptions pay for licensed access. Sales, commissions and licences remain direct creative income.

Public pilotPricing and payout rules are published now. Billing and protected delivery open after pilot validation.

The value loop

Clear in three moves.

01

Artists join

Membership provides a professional profile, publishing, provenance, discovery and commercial tools.

02

People display art

Homes and venues pay for limited, licensed access to opted-in artwork.

03

Artists earn

Verified display creates a revenue share. Discovery can also lead to originals, prints, commissions and licences.

Artist membership

Pay for useful infrastructure—not a promise of exposure.

How display money moves

Most net display revenue returns to artists.

65%to the artist pool
35%to Artāwhai operations and growth

Net revenue means subscription income after GST or other taxes, refunds and payment-processing costs. Each subscriber’s artist pool is distributed among the artworks they genuinely displayed, in proportion to verified display time.

No fixed “per display” promise. Artists see the calculation and ledger behind each payout period.

Direct creative commerce

Display is one income path—not the whole model.

For originals and commissions completed through Artāwhai, the artist receives the sale proceeds less a 10% platform commission, payment processing, applicable tax and any separately agreed fulfilment costs.

When an original sells

The object changes hands. The rights do not blur.

New display access stops. Existing subscribers receive a clear end date unless continuing digital display is expressly agreed with the collector.

01

No new display access begins.

02

Subscribers notified

The chosen wind-down rule sets the end date.

03

Rights confirmed

Physical ownership, copyright and digital display remain separate.
