Founding beta policy
Copyright, attribution & reporting
Effective for the Founding Artist Beta · 23 July 2026
Artists keep their rights
Publishing on Artāwhai does not transfer ownership of the artwork or its copyright to Artāwhai. Artists grant only the limited permissions needed to store, display, resize, promote and operate their Artāwhai records under the Beta Terms.
Authority to publish
Uploaders must be the creator or have clear authority from the relevant rights holder. They must not falsely attribute work, remove another creator’s attribution or publish infringing copies.
Artāwhai display versions
Artāwhai preserves the original upload and may create separate artist-edited and published display versions. QR and provenance overlays support connection to the official record and do not create ownership of the underlying artwork.
Reporting
A rights holder or authorised representative can submit a report through the support page. Include contact details, the exact Artāwhai link, the right you claim, why the content is unauthorised and any supporting material.
Response
Artāwhai may temporarily hide content while assessing a credible report, request information from the artist, restore content where the concern is not substantiated or remove content where appropriate. Repeat or deliberate infringement may lead to account restrictions.
No misuse
Reports must be honest and made in good faith. Artāwhai may reject incomplete, abusive or knowingly false reports.
